All my life, I have wondered if higher states of consciousness are possible. I sought answers in religion and occultism but everything left me feeling back at square one. Finally, the right influences led me to a regular stillness practice, and a special kind of faith kept me on the path. Eventually, something changed in a big way.  My efforts to understand what happened led me on a journey to eventually re-discover the ancient Taoist text Secret of the Golden Flower. Second Awakening is the story of what happened to me and how I learned to understand it through the lens of this ancient teaching.
